Oh, yeah, it's true here, too. Feed them grain and they get aggressive. My rams get grain (maybe 1 T. each) on Christmas, Easter, and sometimes Pentecost. Other than that, they eat grass or hay!

I wonder if there's something in that Linda. We don't use any grain either. Our rams occasionaly butt heads with each other, but it looks more like "play" than anything, they're very docile with everyone else. We never remove them during lambing for example.

Lamburger sounds like a good idea. I'm afraid that if I had a ram that did that, I would be holding him down with his face in the dirt and a gun in his ear.

You did mention graining. In my experience, graining leads to pushy, aggressive rams.
