[Jacob-list] infected foot

I have a young ewe with a foot hoof that she will not put weight on, i went 
and checked her and it outer shell of the hoof is slightly torn at the 
front, only 1/4 inch up the front but then their are two small holes at the 
top.  The foot is warm to the touch (the ours are not).  Is this a job for 
some oral antibiotics and a good foot dressing  (if so what and what?) or a 
trip to the vet?

i'm in ontario canada and it has been warm the last few days the snow 
finally melted.  There are no insects active yet.
