Subject: [Jacob-list] lambs abounding...but not here!
Seeing all these lamb photos from folks who are lambing now makes me very impatient! I know the end of March is a ways away, yet, and I have shearing to look forward to first, seeing all the fleeces off, evaluating them, etc. and I don't want to wish part of my life away, but...
I just bought, or rather ordered (they won't come for another couple of weeks) a bred ewe and a ram from Carl Fosbrink in Indiana and am also eager to see them in the flesh. These are lines I don't yet have, so that's kind of exciting, too.
Hope everyone's lambing is going well. This is always an interesting time of year: just got my Black Sheep Newsletter and reading about people out west seeing Spring arriving in February, with crocuses pushing through, amuses me, for we have at least another two months before that happens, for sure! (They might be tempted to push through the earth sooner, if it weren't for the (finally!) two feet of snow covering everything!)
Betty in Vermont, who now knows you can teach old dogs new tricks, since with help and encouragement from Walter and Linda, she set up her own blog, with photos, at http://sheepwoman.wordpress.com
