I have to agree that with most Karakul fleeces I have seen, combs are the
"way to go". That said, one of the most awesome fleece I have ever spun was a
Karakul/Cotswold cross. I spun it in the grease and then washed the yarn.
Very pretty!
The Karakul will make a beautiful rug when crocheted or knitted and then
felted.
We were in SantaFe last weekend. We drove up to Taos on Sunday. I had to
drool over the RioGrande wheel again. Boy, what a production wheel! The lady
that created it once spun 1000#--1/2 a TON--of wool for her sister for
weaving warp over a weekEND!!!! It can be used for lace-weight on up to rug yarn!
