so in the last few hours i have had several comment that it could be
parasitic insects, and mild pregnancy toxima. It has gotten mild here in
the last week, below zero before that. The insect thing sounds possible as
because the two of them are snorting a lot, i hear them from the house, they
sound like that are clearing their noses from hay bits, snorting a weezing
and i suppose symptoms would come one at the same time if it were time
dependant. The too much sugar thing i'm not sure about as it is silver
maple sap and not sugar maple sap and so low in sugar content (1%) and they
really did not have much,

yes they always attack the grain bucket but not like this. I gave them a
few more scoops to bring their daily amount up to about 3/4 pound, i was
told late pregnancy should be up to a full pound of grain. they are really
starting to look big these days.

It is their eyes that are bothering me, ther eis an obvious dialation in the
pupils, like a diabetic that is way off the scale and their blood chemistry
is so out of wack their muscles are doing funny things. Also they avoid the
bright light.

By 6 the more fit ewe was doing better, eating like normal, but the other
one who is very skinny still acts bad, not affectionate and skitterish.
twitchy. I reduced the minerals for the day just in case it was a
blood/salt this and they were energy starved or some such thing.

we'll wait and see. thanks foir the replies
Tom
