I'm not sure why you would wash it again after carding. You'd want to get the wool itself pretty clean before carding, even is there is a bunch of VM left.

You could comb the fiber, using either English combs, some type of hand held combs, a plain old dog comb, or a flicker.

You can also put the washed, dry fiber into a mesh bag.  Lightly tease it abit first.  Put the bag in the dryer on no heat.  Lots of garbage will come through the bag and end up in the dryer's lint trap.
