Hey again, if you cut back on the COB they will probably eat more hay. Mine
start out wanting to eat the fluffy leaves but eat the entire bale all the
way through to the stems,,,takes em about a week to eat it all. I just put
the whole bale out in a feed trough and they all eat it (also llamas and
pygmy goats). It's easier for me to just put out a bale rather than a flake
here and there. They tend to be a lot less noisy if they have plenty of
hay.
I only feed them COB every couple of days as a treat,,,,,
Sounds like you're on the right track!
