Happy Holidays to all you Jacob sheep listers!

Haven't posted anything lately but have enjoyed reading all your
postings. End of semester and finals is always chaos so hope to catch
up with you all soon. I owe several of you emails but mega apologies
for the delay.

Anyway, have you discovered the podcasts out there yet? I so far have
found several about knitting and one about a young couple starting
farming in IN. You can subscribe free through itunes (either mac or
windows now). Or if you are more into the techie stuff you can go
direct to the podcasters' websites and do it that way. If you are
interested I can send you the links of some that are becoming
favorites.

SO does anyone have ideas of setting up a jacob podcast? I haven't
yet searched for sheep/ag type podcasts but find the IN example
delightful (though not about jacobs). The technology advice is there
but I am wincing thinking of the time these folks are putting into
this. (as if being a college professor AND a jacob shepard isn't
enough to keep me out of trouble!)

Since my flock has very mysteriously grown to 42 from the original
three (and wethers to boot : ) I am madly sorting wool to try to send
my first order to a commercial mill and getting things together to
hopefully take to MD sheep and wool this year (for first time too)- --
it is insanity to think about the podcast format but I am finding it
an incredibly delightful way to learn things and possibly 'meet'
wonderful new people into fiber or sheep. I suspect the marketing and
education angles are wonderful reasons to dabble in it.

Hope all you are doing well
Ralene
