[Jacob-list] breed standard question

Hi all!

I was wondering............

The JSBA breed standards state:  "Nasal septum and mouth should be dark pigmented in adults even though the muzzle patch may be absent"

Does this imply that lambs born with pink septums and lips may eventually turn dark as they mature?  I have a ram lamb that I'm really starting to like who has the pink.....is there hope?
