Sally,

I'm not certain about an organic solution to your lice problem once in the wool. It does seem like my grandmother had something she used on animals; I'll check with mom and see if she can recall what that was. The organic solution I like and enjoy is a preventative measure for the future. Guineas are excellent fowl for picking lice, ticks, fleas, and most other insects from a yard, or farm. One caution regarding guineas, they are natural alarm systems... very chatty (some say noisey even), but very effective in controlling insects.

Anyone had trouble with lice? What's the best way to erradicate them? I would prefer, of course, an organic or natural method. I can't seem to find any natural methods listed on the internet but I wonder if borax would work.

Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated.

  Thanks,
  Sally
