[Jacob-list] horns

It seems that if people don't want horns, they should go for a polled breed. The horns are a part of being "Jacob". Publicizing polled Jacob crossbreeds is not going to be beneficial at all to preserving the breed. It is just promoting crossbred animals that don't have the true characteristics of either breed. Just IMHO, but I think there needs to be a definite separation between promoting Jacobs (purebred stock with true Jacob characteristics ) and crossbreeding for spinning fiber. There is room for both approaches in the world, but if the Jacob breed is to be preserved as a true breed it needs to be promoted on its own merits--purebred, horns, spots and all!
