   I will be interested in the answers you get because
we were thinking of fertilizing next fall.  We always
reseed the small amt. of pasture we have or the
stinging nettle and thistle take over and this next
year we were thinking of fertilizing too.  
   Is there a safe fertilizer to use on sheep pastures
besides old manure?  If so, is there a set amount of
time sheep should be kept off of the pasture after? 
The comment of sheep eating the lawn and dying made me
wonder if there is really any safe fertilizer.
