My friend Tammy Haney from Bristolville OH - east of Cleveland and south - called the other day to report she needs to find homes for her 3 Jacobs. I passed this info to my friend near Asland Nate (not on this list) first and one other person on this list. Here is what I know. Tammy's phone is 330 - 889 -0070 - she doesn't do Internet but I reminded her she could always go to a public library and get some her there.

Anyhow - the 2YO 4H ram is Moonstruck Blackberry and the PA nice fiber ewe is Rise 'n Shine Petticoat. The second ewe is from Wendy Vacik's flock called Glenn's (at her grandparent's house in Wooster) I have a Glenn's ewe called Allissa is how I know of this flock. Tammy's Glen's ewe is not yet registered but Tammy has the info to do so.

I don't think Nate needs the ram as he bought a 4H guy from me and last year. I don't think he is real keen on dropping what else he has going on to get the ewe's either. This is a poor time to be trying to downsize, I thnk, as everyone was finalizing their barn-space allocations in September.

Anyone interested in these sheep should call Tammy directly and work with her. I'd like to know is she has been successful, however andd I can quit looking for homes for the sheep.

Anyone with opinions on best time of year to downsize?

    Greetings fellow shepherds,

We need to find a new home for our ram ASAP. JSBA registered, beautiful/even/well spaced/ symmetrical 4horns, ~40% dark, great fleece. Last year he was bred to all 2horn ewes and sired all 4horn lambs, several with blue eyes.

  Pedigree, photos, fleece samples available

I'd rather find him a home in a breeding flock than in a freezer, so I'm only asking $100. (He really is gorgeous!!)

So what is the problem? He is beating up on our very sweet but not very assertive donkey. He has never showed any aggression to humans. (if he had he would be in the freezer already!) We have not had problems with aggression to the ewes.

Please email me privately for details.
