For iodine on the navel, we use the little plastic cannister that 35 mm.
film comes in.......make it about half full of iodine, put the lid on and
wait for lambs to arrive........and when they do, take off the lid, press
the cannister up against the tummy (with the navel inside the cannister)
of the standing lamb, and then sit the lamb back on his butt/back and
then stand him up again.  Works well although I always wear rubber gloves
in case the lamb decides to river dance while I'm doing this and the
iodine spills.
