[Jacob-list] Sore Foot

I noticed that one of my (very) pregnant ewes was limping this morning-left
back foot. We caught her and examined her- didn't notice anything unusual-
no pinpoint tenderness, no rock, nothing red. We ended up trimming her
hooves since we had her- we noted that the part of the hoof opposite the
pointy ends (I'm not sure of the proper sheep anatomy) is soft (and it is on
all the other hooves) Is this normal? We have had wet, muddy conditions
here.
