Thanks - I built it for my chickens.  It is tiled and heated and has
fountain and heat lamps 
and is insulated and my chickens sleep in the tree outside the front door.  
I will put the feed inside and convince my new family members it was meant
for them.   
 
What do you mean by rough - for their feet - rough plywood or could I use asphalt roofing - would that be rough enough and not hurt their feet ?
