[Jacob-list] Help with Shearing / Electric Shears

Hello,

I tried shearing this weekend and did great on the first two but had a problem. On the third ewe, the ewe's wool was incredible thick and difficult to cut, has anyone experienced this and how did they get the wool cut close?

The shears were dull on the 4th ewe that may have had an effect. What lubricant do most people use. How do you sharpen the blades, on a flat stone or with a dremel? (Send them in for sharpenging??)
