[Jacob-list] stolen sheep

I understand that some of the sheep belonging to Kelley and residing currently with the Purdys in Chester, Vt. and advertised as jacobs on the NEHBC want ad list are not pure blood jacobs, but may look it to the untrained eye, so buyers, beware!  Some are 7/8 jacobs, according to Kelley, and jacob-looking.  One woman called a local jacob breeder to ask him about two sheep she was buying for $300 a piece, both all brown with fleece down to their legs, presented as jacob sheep, apparently, or so the story goes!  Please tell anyone you know considering buying jacobs to be very careful when dealing with this situation.
