Hi,

Most animals don't ovulate to stimulate cycling after they are bred. I
did have one experience in 9 years of every single one of my ewes (bar
one particularly cranky girl) of returning to the ram 1 full cycle after
they were bred based on their delivery dates. These weren't just chance
sightings in the field---these were girls that went to the far end of
the pasture for 24 hours often in the rain to be alone with the ram.
Methusaleh must have had just what they wanted. Never saw that behavior
other than that one year.

Hello Everyone,
This will be my first lambing season. I am really looking forward to it.
I just got into jacobs last May of 2002. Does a Ewe still cycle even
after she is bred? I have taken the ram out since it is getting close to
lambing. I also enjoy reading the jacob list. I have learned quite a bit
of information.
Thanks
Barb
