I was hoping to hear something about the AGM. How about some of you who went
telling the rest of us about it?

I went to Black Sheep Gathering in Oregon the weekend of AGM. One of the
popular events is the Spinners' Lead on Saturday night. This is a fashion
show of sorts. Spinners model their handspun garments and bring along the
animal (or a representative) that provided the fiber. There were 18
participants this year--16 with sheep and 1 bunny and 1 person with one of
those leashes that is attached to an imaginary animal. There were 3 Jacob
sheep represented. I wore a vest that I knitted for my husband and borrowed
a ram lamb from Sandra Van Liew. Debbie Bennett wore a beautiful brown
(lilac) and white sweater knit in vertical stripes. She placed 2nd. Sandra
wore a gorgeous triangular shawl that she had dyed with madder (I think) and
her sheep wore a matching one--more the size of a neck scarf. They were a
stunning pair, especially since Sandra dressed up for the occasion. It paid
off, because she placed 1st!
