I just wanted  to comment on how as a group information is shared so 
freely.   It would be hard for me to be offended toward anyone sharing 
"experience" whether it be based in fact , books or just a "learn as 
you go" thing !   We are from everywhere !   I have to live with my 
mistakes and some I choose not to learn the hard way again.   I'm 50 
years old tomorrow.  I've been a farmer all my life and a nurse for 30 
years.  If you have information I need, you'll hear from me. I'm still 
learning!!  Don't plan to stop !! I feel bad that Louise will never 
join this group because of all the talk of RABIES.  It is in epidemic ! 
  I live in the city and work with children besides my full time job in 
Corrections.  I feel I owe it to them to present a disease free animal 
so that they remember the time spent here and not spend one moment  in 
a doctors office because of my farm.. A rabid kitten was found only 3 
miles from here.It's too close to me.  Maybe you are safe where you are 
or feel the vaccine thing causes more problems, or more cost.   No one 
else need follow suit .  Thank you to all who shared the  YOUR REAL 
WORLD  with the group . It's good we all get to decide what's best for 
US.  THREE questions.... Why would you vaccinate for tetanus and not 
the next best fatal disease?  Would you do it if you could buy it like 
any other vaccine?   Is North Carolina making a mistake by over 
regulating this from us??? Just a thought>>>>>
