We have had good success with our new fences....Neal is right about the corner braces needing to be right. The fencing we put in was somewhat expensive, but should last about 30 years, and by then I don't care. We used heavy duty field fencing, 45 " tall, a t post every 8 feet, a solid wooden post every 3rd post, strung hot wire across the top and bottom. This contains both sheep, horses and cows, and has been pretty good with the dogs as well...they hate hot wire. We used the cattle panels with the small holes on the bottom for the lambing pens, and are very happy with it. Our place was fenced when we bought it, but as we lived with the old fences we realized good fences build good neighbers, and piece of mind as well. And buy that metal fence post pounder, there is no way I would ever put in another post without one.
