[Jacob-list] new list member and prospective new owner

I am a new list member. My husband and i are thinking of getting Jacob sheep
(only 3 or so - at first anyway). We are fencing the area they will be in
and I am wondering if 12 gauge/2x4 wire will be ok.(this is very strong
fencing). In addition, I would appreciate hearing of any pitfalls or things
any of you wish you had KNOWN PRIOR ro aquiring your sheep - from set-up
details, to problems, to wonderful unexpected delights...

Thanks in advance. (I of course am talking in person to a local breeder,
visiting the farm, reading etc.)
