Gee. This did not come back through on jacoblist. I wonder if something is down after all.
We are in the worst drought on record. There has been more rainfall than in '86, but soil moisture levels are at an all time low leading in to this. We are about 1 year behind in rain fall over the last 3 year period. I expect a crop loss in excess of 50%, and no corn harvested for grain. [Normally, we see about 2/3 of the corn around here cut for silage.] The perennial streams are low enough that irrigation is almost out of the question. Town water supplies are using the majority of the water supply.
