[Jacob-list] Horns

Hi,

Horns are great as pitchforks when they are not used to sling ewes or
lambs around pastures---or used to spear unsuspecting shepherds.
Everything has a purpose that is beneficial, and sometimes purposes that
aren't so much fun.

I have watched them use their horns for all sorts of maneuvering---from
those terrible itches they just can't seem to reach otherwise (seem to
prefer this to rubbing against grapevines). They also use them for
intimidation of others---the ewes with the forward pointing horns tend
to rule and win the battles against the more "beautiful" 4-horns and the
2 horns. The 4-horned ewes with those straight upper horns are not
adverse to using them as spears themselves against others in fights or
to gain position at feeding time---or to shove slow shepherds out of the
way :o). Scurs sure wouldn't cut the mustard, would they!
