Hi Debbie,

I agree with what you say. Unfortunately most of the judges we see at shows, know very little or nothing about the primitive breeds. Or, how to show them. They are used to wool breeders showing sheep that have been trimmed to hide any faults and accept it as normal and don't penalize the shower for doing it. Just ask a successful Romney breeder how and why he trims his sheep for show. A number of us have been 'burned' at shows where the judge consistently picked Jacobs that had been doctored (as we define it).
