The horn can be cut with saw wire. You can get it at a hardware (for cutting 
PVC pipe or tree limbs) or ask your vet for some. They use it for cutting 
through bones. The horn won't bleed unless you have to cut off enough that 
you get into the quick. You can tell where the blood supply begins by the 
warmth. (The tip will be cooler.) You have to saw fast (it will smoke) and it 
cauterizes as it cuts. And, it takes a lot of muscle.
