Well, we lost him, but I just want to make sure I don't lose the little ewe.
She's just off her food, that is all. No visible bloat or other symptoms. I
can give her a drench, but I don't have nutridrench, what can I substitute?
The only vegetable oil I have is olive oil. Can I just add something sweet
to it, like molasses and get her to take that? The rest of the animals are
running about just fine.

Melanie,
I used this trick on a lamb----
do you have a tube (I used air tank plastic tubing on my lamb, but bigger
diameter would work also) and sent that down multiple times into the tummy.
That released some of the air and pressure.
I also used a combination of Nutradrench (for taste) and vegetable oil (keep
those mixed up as you have them in the syringe) and hit him with that by
mouth with a syringe. Use Laura Lawson's recommendations for amount. If
you don't have the book, make a mental note to order that Monday morning and
go for 30 ccs. I can't lay my hands on the book or would look it up for
you.
Keep firing away until you see results. I must have sent that tube down (it
was small and got clogged often) I don't know HOW many times on the lamb,
but it was that or she was going to die. She is alive.
Soda water will also help like the vet suggested. Don't know as I would
depend on the pepto in a crisis, but for after the crisis, yes.
