Thanks Robin, but it's academic, he died.
We don't know how much grain he had. My husband, who is already wearing
sackcloth and ashes, knew the gate latch was failing but did nothing, he
went down there at noon and everything was fine, went down about five and
they were in the feed end. I'm guessing he had a lot. They got through an
entire feed bin between them, but one bandit was a 1000lb bullock, so he
probably got the most (he's fine). He had a lot of water after. He's wasn't
drinking this morning, or chewing his cud, not doing much at all. Yesterday
he
seemed a bit off his food, but they all did. This morning everyone else is
tucking into hay. His breathing wasn't right, for sure, and there was mucous
in
his nose, but I couldn't see any bloat.
I'm replying in detail because there is one ewe who is not eating, so I'm
still looking for hope. She's drinking a bit, and is wandering about, but
she has bad diarrhea. I'll add more on my other reply to the group.

Melanie, is he bloated (left side, behind ribs) is he drinking, and how is
his resparation ? (watch his breathing and compare it to the others) Is he
chewing his cud ? Do you have any idea how much grain he may have had and
if
he had water after ? He may be fine in a while, but if you can let me know
more on his condition, I can help you figure out what's up. Robin Casasanto
