Thanks everyone for your advice.  We took Kazoo's temperature yesterday and
it was normal, and there were no other symptoms so we kept an eye on him, by
evening he had stopped coughing.  Today he seems fine and is chowing down on
his hay.

Taking his temperature was quite the adventure, though!!!
