Aren't striped and white horns considered a negative by some purists?

Subject: [Jacob-list] striped horns
Inside jacob horns (scurs excepted) is a bony core, covered with a dermal
layer that produces horn material. This layer, as you might expect, is
spotted black/white in characteristic jacob fashion, just like other parts of
the sheep (even the roof of the mouth). Each spot produces corresponding
black or white horn material, but as horns grow distally the spots show up as
stripes on the outside of the horn. If you look at the inside of a jacob
horn, you can plainly see spots, but on the outside the spots become
"stretched out" toward the tip while growing, and appear as stripes.
