[Jacob-list] pictures

I've decided I'm getting really tired of wrestling sheep to get bad pocket-camera pictures.  Can anyone recommend a camera that takes GOOD pictures, ata distance (zoom lens?), and will produce pictures in both "regular" form and "translatable-onto-the-net-form?"
