[Jacob-list] transportation

I have a few works in progress here and would like to get some input.
I firmly believe that the moving of Jacob Sheep from one area of the country to another is an
important conservation tool. There are limited bloodlines in the country and usually even
less in one specific location. I was quite fortunate this year that, due to the generosity of
Mary Ellen Hansson, Kelly Foster, and Sharon Hill in transporting sheep, I was able to add
some new lines to my flock.
I'd like to set up a sort of bulletin board where breeders can list when a transport is going
from A to B and has space for one or two more.
I realize that there are health and insurance considerations when transporting sheep. I don't
propose to get into that. My tentative goal in this project is just to put breeders in touch
with each other regarding transport. Any and all details would be worked out directly by the
people involved.
I'm working on something where the interested parties will post directly to the internet which
should keep all information current.
Any thoughts??
This and some other ideas will be a little while in the executing. Why didn't someone warn me
that Christmas was so close? I'm wondering if I could get away with giving people "kits" for
Christmas. Like instead of the handspun, handknit scarf I meant to make, I just give someone
some handspun yarn and some knitting needles. Or even just some fiber and knitting needles.
Or even the ultimate kit - an angora rabbit and some knitting needles.
