[Jacob-list] Jacob Sheep Information

Hi all,
I am new to the list.  Have been reading the archives and
lots of good information there.  I am interested in getting
a couple of Jacob lambs.  I live near San Antonio, TX and
was wondering if there is  anyone raising Jacobs in the
vicinity.  The nearest one I have found so far is near
Dallas.  I am starting to fix fences in preparation for
them.  I am interested in mostly raising for the wool, right
now, I do spinning and weaving.
I read a post from one person who said the Jacobs are
climbers, It sounds like they are great little escape
artists.  Would it be feasible to angle a couple of strands
of wire in toward the pasture?  I did this with chicken
wire, to keep my cats in the yard, it worked with them.  I
am reading, listening, and learning.  Any good books out on
these little critters??
