Our lambs simply adore the ram - they sleep beside him and love to play
on top of him.  In fact, it almost seems like he lays down just to
provide them the opportunity to play "king of the mountain."  (Or maybe
he just likes his back scratched by their little feet.)  They nibble on
the fleece around his ears and he tolerates all their baby antics with
true fatherly devotion.  We have never seen him butt them out of the way,
even at the feeding trough - he truly seems to like the little guys.
