Connie,
I admit that my information is dated, from over twenty years ago when I went to the Alley Theatre with Esther's Follies on tour to Ft. Worth, Dallas and Houston, when I still had assets and enough income to travel with gay abandon.
That's the worst part of going light on money, the part I miss most, to up and go where ever I pleased whenever it pleased me.
Mea culpa,
FM
Frances

Well, someone has got to clue me into the 'beauty' of that building. Every time I see it, it strikes me as a large scaled version of something that might appear on a ladies dressing table.

Houston downtown is a scary no man's land after dark.

far from it. Lots of action downtown, every night. Downtown is quite energized, with high-rise and loft-style living growing exponentially not only downtown, but in surrounding, close in areas surrounding downtown. An urban version of a grocery store is now installed in midtown. Two new parks with large acreage are under development in downtown and midtown to benefit families living near them.
I expect Dallas may be experiencing the same rennovation of their downtown.
Stay current Frances.
Connie
