Wayne,
I got your note, the All Fools Balls were held back in the 70s & 80s
when the kids were small and parties were always weekend camping trips.
The All Fools Ball was always the closest weekend to april 1st. It was
mostly spelunkers and held at TR and Janey Evans acreage, which was
next to an old cemetery where Deaf Smith was buried between Bastrop and
Elgin. Thats where several people, including Ed Guinn and myself
learned to roast a pig apple and all, rather than rotting one on a big
stick as you tended the boose more than the pig....
