Michael,
  just finished 'Vaterland' by Harris, nice what if thriller. John spent 
the night in the hospital with recurring chicken pox and apparently any 
viral infection you had as a child never goes away but is waiting to 
punce when you are the least bit run down.  They lodge in your psinal 
column.  Since this happened I have run into so many people who have had 
a recent bout of it, mostly called shingles.  John was very down about 
the election outcome.
