Denardo, not Diego as i had misremembered

that is the name of Ornette Coleman's son who
is the drummer.

the rest of the band, you ask? 2 local bass 
players.

Chuck Berry used to do this when touring, have 
local guys be his band. 

Ornette is 74 and doesn't like late gigs. So
the set starts at 7pm. or does it? i am going
to bring reading matter just in case it's one 
of those long wait for the band scenes.

I also look forward to the possibility of a rare 
Jeff Nightbyrd sighting. and that of Hope 
Morgan & other local jazz stalwarts
