I met Don at an art gathering with Mary Jane Ford and a few other people
less than six months ago. I only have one hour or so to devote to this
ongoing discussion list and I appreciate everyone's two cents worth on the
chain jerking stunts of miserably unhappy terrorists who feel like shit and
want to share that with the rest of us. It is a baffling turn of world
events. We haven't had this much patriotic solidarity since the end of World
War II, and I was hardly old enough to notice it then.
I rarely read posts that are longer than one page, both because of time
restraints and neck pain from craning my neck to adjust to screen-read with
trifocals. Don's penchant for lengthy posts has an even more annoying
outcome, however. My stupid e-mail provider, excite.com, occasionally poops
out and can't be answered and my mail box fills up with lengthy posts and
bumps others that I might even be more interested in. "Brevity is the better
part of valor." Who said that anyway? Maybe it was me.
