this was reported a few weeks ago, as was looting of tourneau, which may have 
been reported the first week. the gold and silver is in a safe that was owned 
by the bank of nova scotia. many of the kids who lived in the downtown nyu 
dorms and weren't allowed to return for several weeks reported looting. 
i think the news was of rescue workers being searched. as if this work wasn't 
way above and beyond anyone's job description.
i have heard the smell compared to the ovens in germany, the smell of human 
incineration.
i'm sure they deserve far more than they are being paid.
