Gentle persons,
As discussed, testing has progressed very well, and I’d like to announce the release of argus v5.0.

Argus 5.0 has been operational for over 6 years, as 100G, 10G and multi 1G flow sensors in a number of commercial, educational and government sites and research projects. It has been an important data source for cyber security and performance analysis for critical infrastructure, and has been useful creating key data features for emerging AI/ML network operations. I hope that this will be a useful platform to extend network flow data generation and flow analytics development for emerging capabilities, such as Zero Trust architecture, and endpoint network awareness for all sorts of network types.

OK, today I have merged the v5.0.0 branch for both argus and argus-clients into the main branch on GitHub.com and have created the official argus-5.0.0 and argus-clients-5.0.0 releases.
This effort represents over 2000 commits, and almost 900 contributions just in the last year. I still have a lot of documentation to generate, and notes, but this is a good start for the new argus. I will delete the argus and argus-clients 5.0 repositories in a month or so, unless there is huge resistance.

Of course, if there are any issues, send email to the list or directly to me ...

And of course, I hope that all is indeed, most excellent,

Carter
