argus and geolocation and reputation services

Gentle people,
As you should know, we have a lot of technology around flow
metadata now, data not derived from packet contents,
and 3.0.8 highlights a lot of that support.

We’ve provided support for Geo-location data through the free
MaxMind databases, and that support also works with MaxMind’s
commercial databases, so you can improve if you’d like.

After the 3.0.8 release, I’ll start doing reputation metadata
support in argus, and to that end, I’d like to know if there
are any reputation databases that people like, that we should
use as a model. These do not need to be free.

As you may know, I am starting a commercial argus application
effort, and commercial databases will be a part of that effort.
If you have any ones that you like, could you send to the list ??

Hope all is most excellent,

Carter
