Hey,
I executed: /opt/csw/bin/sudo /usr/local/sbin/argus -X -D8

Hmmmmm, well this is not correct behavior, and not at all reasonable.
But we need to get to a known state to proceed.
You do not need the -F, as argus will find /etc/argus.conf.
Instead can you run this ?
argus -X -D8
Hopefully this will behave in a basic defined fashion.
