rasqlinsert -s -record doesn't seem to work

Paul,
Well, to see the actual queries,  you can run rasqlinsert with -D6 .
If you haven't configured for debug support, in the clients root directory:
   % touch .debug
   % ./configure
   % make clean
   % make
