And with the patch and the lower memory limit argus now dies gracefully:

-bash-3.00$ argus-clients-2.0.6.fixes.1/bin/ragator -r data/raw
ArgusError: ragator[30043]: ArgusCalloc(1, 124): calloc error: Cannot
allocate memory
