MySQL support for Argus

Dear All,
I am not sure how others use argus, but for me Argus has been a tool to find
out data usage pattern.
We provide shared bandwidth to customers and its important that 20% of users
dont take up my 80% of bandwidth. I keep an eye on the bandwidth utilization
using several tools. At times I find out that during a certain peak, a user
had done data transfer from an IP, etc. etc. Top N users, Top N protocols,
Graphs per protocols, graphs per user/IP, graphs per group of IPs, etc would
also help me.
Things like concurrent flows, number of packets, number of bytes, etc. and
their aggregations and then graphing on a 10 minute aggregate helps even a
layman understand what's happening.
I usually move records onto MS Excel, do some manipulations and then move
them onto MS Access then do some manipulations and move them again into MS
Excel and then do graphs. If I have a database like MySQL having records then
I will be willing to draw up the graphs using cgi and moving complete
reporting in web based format.
Todate, I had just been lazy to move things into MySQL and start learning it.
If this software can give me a boost, I can start doing some useful things
using MySQL and help me spend less time in the 10's of manipulations I do.
Hope this helps all.
Regards,
Mitesh
