Hey Yotam,
Thanks, I'll incorporate it into the 2.0.5 code.
Can't get to it today, but should be able to do it
by Friday. If it doesn't make it, please send mail
to remind me.

Best Regards,

Carter

Subject: PID file handling.

Hey,

argus currently generates PID files based on the number of
running argus instances, and the interface being audited. I've written a
patch that allows users to enable the generation of PID files via the
command line, something that's currently only available using the
configuration file.
The patch currently supports two schemes of PID file generation: The
original scheme, where argus chooses the name of the PID file itself and
the new method, where the user may specify the name of the PID file.
Anyway, I was wondering whether the original method should be preserved.
It leaves little room for flexibility, and the user may not always
trivially know the location of the PID file. I believe most programs
that generate PID files require the user to its location, and/or have a
constant default. Also, the manual page was a bit unclear about how PID
files are generated, this was addressed in my patch as well.

	Best Regards, Yotam Rubin
