About Roadmaps-L

The mailing list Roadmaps-L is designed to give road map collectors a forum in which they may discuss their hobby. Individuals involved in the production or sale of road maps are also encouraged to join in on discussions and add their unique viewpoints. Topics of discussion in the mailing list include, but are not limited to, the map collecting hobby; the history of road maps; buying, selling, and trading maps; and announcements of upcoming trade meets and antique shows that may be of interest to collectors. Collectors are encouraged to provide "want" lists and "for sale" lists for the benefit of other collectors who may be interested in trading with them. If you operate a map-related website, belong to a map collecting group, or know of any other map-related information that would be beneficial to other collectors, please feel free to post the details to the group. Commercial posts and advertising that do not pertain specifically to maps are not appropriate for this group and are discouraged. All material belongs to that of the list and list members and is not to be archived by anyone else. Using Roadmaps-L

To post a message to all the list members, send email to roadmaps-l@roadmaps.org. You can subscribe to the list, or change your existing subscription, in the sections below.

Subscribing to Roadmaps-L

Subscribe to Roadmaps-L by filling out the following form. You will be sent email requesting confirmation, to prevent others from gratuitously subscribing you. Once confirmation is received, your request will be held for approval by the list moderator. You will be notified of the moderator's decision by email. This is also a hidden list, which means that the list of members is available only to the list administrator. Your email address:   You must enter a privacy password. This provides only mild security, but should prevent others from messing with your subscription. Do not use a valuable password as it will occasionally be emailed back to you in cleartext.
