[Retros] FW: Announcing RML End-of-Life Date

Hello,

Sad news indeed.

It’s true that “there has been very little traffic in recent years.”
Unfortunately, classical retroanalysis is almost history now. A total of
429 entries were received for Section H of FIDE Album 2022-2024, of which
only 50 actually belong to deductive retroanalysis based on OTB (standard
chess) rules. Not counting my own entries, only 9 retros out of 413 (2.2%)
involve non-elementary retro reasoning.

Nevertheless, it would be great if “the last dinosaurs of the fading
retroanalytical genre” could still have a platform for discussing issues of
common interest at least a couple of times a year.

Yours,

Andrey
